Well, I'm not too sure wtf gang garrison is, but a lot of people seem to be comparing your art to it...ehh. I think it looks more like the Sword and Sorcery style of pixel art than anything else (which is pretty damn cool).

These are adorable! I like the first versions better but the mouths and eyes on the gradient versions are really nice too. I hope they were put to good use! :D
